Tucson plumbers we’ve used and recommend

0

After we made an initial offer to buy our home we were greeted with a report which revealed the pipes in our home were made of polybutylene.

Polybutylene is a form of plastic resin used widely in Tucson homes (and the surrounding Southwest) built in the 80’s to mid 90’s. Oxidants in the water supply are believed to trigger a chemical process which causes the pipes to scale and become brittle…meaning they could suddenly burst.

We followed the best practice and chose to repipe the whole home. We used Arico Plumbing for the job.

Their manager, Chris, clearly explained the details of the job which took about four full work days. He was easily accessible and frequently popped by to supervise the job. The workers on site were prompt and neat.

During the job, one of the plumbers inadvertently broke a light fixture while climbing down from a tight crawl space. It was replaced with a superior one.

We have since used Arico for the more standard variety of plumbing jobs and have been satisfied with their work and service.
